Hi. I’m Fiona, and this is my outpost on the World Wide Web.

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, with my wife and kids. They are cool, but you won’t read much about them here out of respect for their privacy.

I really like to play drums, but I am just okay at it. I’ve played guitar for a really long time. I used to play in a few different bands, none of them very notable.

Most days, I am making my living as a graphics programmer at a video game studio. Prior to my time in the games industry, I worked at a number of startups and consulting agencies.

I make myself scarce in other places online. I think the fundamental model underlying social media is broken and encourages anti-social behavior. Lots of wealthy people have spent a lot of time and money trying to make participation seem inevitable, and we’re all paying a heavy price for it. However, it’s easier to opt out than you might think. Highly recommended!
